Banana Bread


  • 3 to 4 ripe bananas, smashed

  • 1/3 cup butter, melted

  • 3/4 cup light brown sugar

  • 1 egg, beaten

  • 1 tsp vanilla

  • 1 tbsp bourbon

  • 1 tsp baking soda

  • pinch of salt

  • 1 tsp cinnamon

  • 1/2 tsp nutmeg

  • 1 1/2 cups flour


  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F. Pull out your 4x8 loaf pan and butter it.

  2. In a large mixing bowl, mix butter into the mashed bananas with spatula. Mix in the sugar, egg, vanilla and bourbon. Sprinkle in remaining ingredients and mix everything together with spatula.

  3. Pour mixture into a buttered 4×8 inch loaf pan. Bake for 50 minutes to one hour, or until a tester comes out clean.

  4. Cool on a rack. Remove from pan and slice to serve.
